Virginia Piano

Piano students are preparing for December 6 performance. For students that are participating, we practice & perfect the performance songs in lesson, as well as practice announcing their names and pieces into the microphone, and bowing.

I have been enjoying adding regular new sheet music that is seasonal or popular, for students to play, in lesson. This month I added “Carol of the Bells”.

Students have really come to love our quarterly/seasonal/themed “Practice Challenges”! They often walk into the studio, looking on the big display board to see their name, and how many “stickers” they have next to their name. The goal is to get six stickers, to be a practice challenge winner.

Also continuing to evolve regularly are our “floor games”. Young students enjoy taking a few minutes off of the piano bench to sit on the soft carpeted floor and do some fun activities with flashcards and creative made up learning games! We always have such a relaxed time at lessons.. students hardly know they are learning piano!
