Monthly Tuition:
Tuition is $120 per month, paid before the 1st via Zelle (847-468-4618 under “Ginny”). I do not send reminders. This rate will remain the same for 2026 & 2027.
Late or Missing Payment:
If payment isn’t received before the 1st, the student may be removed from the schedule and their time may be offered to another student. Re-enrollment depends on whether a suitable lesson time is available and whether the full payment plus a $10 late fee is sent. Please confirm availability before sending a late payment. Refunds are not offered; if no suitable time is open for the upcoming month, payment (including the late fee) will be forfeited.
What Tuition Includes:
The monthly fee covers 48 weekly 30-minute lessons per year, all books, and optional student performances. (Students pay for only 40 lessons; 8 lessons per year are free.)
Changing Your Weekly Lesson Time:
You may switch to a different regular weekly lesson time at any point—just text me and I’ll send current openings. Changing days may slightly affect the total number of lesson slots for the year.
Discontinuing Lessons:
There are no refunds, including if extra payments are sent after notifying me of discontinuation. If additional payment is made, I can offer one extra month of lessons if a suitable time is available; otherwise, the payment is forfeited.
Teacher Absences:
If I will be away, I will text you the date with as much notice as possible.
Missed Lessons & Make-Ups:
You may reschedule if an open time works for you, but make-ups are not guaranteed or owed. Available times are posted here (updated frequently):
Most families can find a make-up time, but not always—which is why each student receives 8 free lessons per year.
Practice:
Steady progress comes from 15 minutes daily on assigned pages.
Health Policy:
If the student has a cough or runny nose, please cancel or call for a virtual lesson (Facetime or Messenger) at the normal lesson time. For new illnesses, please wait 7–10 days before attending in person. These symptoms are also not allowed in the waiting area.
Photos:
Studio photos (no faces shown) may be used on Virginia Piano media. Student faces may appear in performance photos, as performances are public and attendance implies consent.
