Virginia Piano Policy. Welcome and thank you for choosing me as your piano teacher!
Monthly Tuition: Non-refundable monthly tuition of $120 is prepaid via Zelle (847-468-4618) to GINNY GRAFFAGNA. Please ensure payment is received by me before the first of each month. I do not send reminders.
A $10 per-student late fee applies on the first of the month. Tuition is not based on student attendance. It is a flat fee that reserves your weekly 30-minute time slot, 48 weeks per calendar year. There are 4 teacher vacation weeks, to be announced.
Student Missed Lessons: If the student misses a lesson, they may try to reschedule, as long as there is an open time available that can work for their schedule. I am not able to guarantee or owe these “make up” lessons.
Student Books: Books are included in your monthly fee. We use the Faber Piano Adventures series, which includes both core instructional books and fun, student-favorites.
Extracurricular Music: The student may supplement the books I provide, with any additional music they would like to learn! It is very common for a student to want to play a favorite song by an artist they love. While this is completely optional, it is always welcome. You can purchase individual sheet music online (such as Musicnotes.com), or a book of a student’s favorite artist online or at a local music store.
Illness: No one may enter the studio or waiting area with a cough, a runny nose, or if you feel you may be contagious. Instead, please call for a virtual lesson via FaceTime or Messenger at your regular time. I may also opt for virtual lessons if I am having symptoms.
Practice: Daily practice is highly encouraged, and is what keeps the student interested and engaged in piano. I recommend 10 minutes for ages 4-6, 20 minutes for ages 7-9, and 30+ minutes for ages 10+.
